Claire James Steinberg is a "social landscape" fine-art photographer who began her career in 1966 after graduating UCLA in the Art Department, studying under David Hockney and Robert Heineken. Moving to New York she became the Picture Editor of Popular Photography Magazines and Annuals.

As one of People Magazine's first stringers, she worked for many years shooting celebrities, the famous, and the not so famous. Her fine art work was published in major books and magazines.

Over her career, she has had many one woman shows, and she has enjoyed teaching photography as an art form for more than 40 years.

Claire's work is in the permanent collections of many museums including: the Smithsonian, the Corcoran Gallery, Paris Museum of Modern Art, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Santa Barbara Museum of Art, Museum of Photographic Arts in San Diego, Palm Desert Museum of Art; and is in many private collections.

Claire is actively working as a Fine Art Photographer in Los Angeles. She hopes you will savor her work and will contact her by email or telephone.
